Poinsettia Do's & Don'ts

  • DO place your plant in indirect sunlight for at least six hours per day. If you can't avoid direct sun, a shade or sheer curtain will do the trick.

  • DO keep the room temperatures between 68 - 70 degrees F.

  • DO water your plant when the soil feels dry.

  • DO fertilize your plant AFTER the blooming season. An all purpose fertilizer will work fine.

  • DON'T place plants in excessive cold or hot areas.

  • DON'T expose plants to temperatures below 50 degrees F.

  • DON'T over water your plant, or allow it to sit in standing water.

  • DON'T expose your plant to cold winds when you're transporting it.
